Mayor Dongsik Park of Sacheon Joins 'Traveling Around Every Corner of Gyeongnam' Relay Campaign

Dongsik Park, Mayor of Sacheon in Gyeongnam Province, participated in the 'Traveling Around Every Corner of Gyeongnam' relay campaign, contributing to the revitalization of local tourism and the recovery of small business districts.

The campaign is being carried out in a relay format, with mayors, county heads, and heads of institutions across Gyeongnam Province participating to boost domestic demand and promote tourism consumption.

Mayor Park joined the campaign after being nominated by Kyuil Cho, Mayor of Jinju. He, in turn, nominated Chungnam Jang, Mayor of Namhae County, and Dojun Kim, President of the Sacheon Small Business Association, as the next participants.

Mayor Park promoted the attractiveness of Sacheon's tourism resources under the slogan, "2025 Visit Sacheon Year, Travel to Sacheon, the Center of Marine Tourism!"

The campaign venue, Sacheon Sea Cable Car, is the first marine cable car in Korea to connect the sea, islands, and mountains. It is linked to Gaksan Observatory and coastal walking trails, making it very popular among travelers.

In particular, the nearby 'Sacheon Eye' Ferris wheel, which offers sea views, and the Aramaru Aquarium, where visitors can encounter a variety of marine creatures, have made this area a unique tourist destination.

Meanwhile, Sacheon City is making efforts to promote its diverse tourism resources nationwide in celebration of the '2025 Visit Sacheon Year' by organizing various events and promotional activities.

On June 10, the 'National Culture and Tourism Interpreters Unity Walking Festival' will be held, and in August, the 'Sacheon Beer and Chicken Festival' will take place, offering visitors a wide range of enjoyable experiences in Sacheon.

Mayor Park stated, "Sacheon is a city blessed by the gifts of the sea, sky, and nature. I hope that in the '2025 Visit Sacheon Year,' more people will create precious memories amid Sacheon's unique landscapes and that the local business districts will be further invigorated."
