Cho Kuk, the former leader of the Innovation Party who is currently imprisoned, commented on President Lee Jaemyung's inauguration, saying, "This is a victory for the people who fought against the forces of insurrection, and I will do my part to contribute to the success of the Lee Jaemyung administration."

On the 4th, Hwang Hyunseon, Secretary General of the Innovation Party, shared a prison letter from former leader Cho Kuk through his Facebook page.

In his letter, Cho Kuk wrote, "Respected citizens, dear comrades and members of the Innovation Party. At last, a change of government has been achieved. This is a victory for the people who fought against insurrection," and added, "It is not only a victory for the Democratic Party, but also a victory for the Innovation Party, which, despite being the third-largest party in the National Assembly, did not field its own candidate."

He continued, "The fourth democratic government, the Lee Jaemyung administration, must succeed. The forces of insurrection and the reactionary vested interests will stop at nothing to obstruct the path of the Lee Jaemyung administration," and added, "As the former leader of the Innovation Party and as a citizen, I will do whatever I can to help ensure the success of the Lee Jaemyung administration."

He also stated, "There are numerous challenges that must be addressed. The most urgent are the recovery of people's livelihoods and the economy, as well as a thorough investigation of the facts surrounding the insurrection and holding those responsible to account. For the latter, a special prosecutor law is needed," and added, "Measures must also be taken to prevent the reemergence of prosecutorial dictatorship and to restore the damage caused by prosecutorial dictatorship. This includes the separation of investigation and prosecution, as well as disciplinary and personnel actions against political prosecutors responsible for the abuse of prosecutorial power."

In conclusion, he said, "I believe these issues will be resolved one by one. It is a joyful day. Let us set aside minor differences and personal interests and unite our strength for the success of the fourth democratic government."
