Jangseong County in South Jeolla Province announced on the 4th that it will begin operating the farmhouse restaurant 'Jangseong Hansang' on the second floor of the Jangseong Local Food Advanced Direct Store in Buk-gu, Gwangju, starting from the 5th.
'Jangseong Hansang' is a Korean buffet-style restaurant that uses ingredients sourced from Jangseong. It will be open for lunch only, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., every Tuesday through Sunday. The menu consists of about 35 items, including unique dishes such as black sesame chicken and seasonal specialties made with ingredients in season.

The restaurant covers an area of 1,026 square meters and is equipped with a total of 112 tables: 30 tables for two, 56 tables for four, and 26 tables for groups. The food ingredients are supplied by contracted farms that have agreements with the Jangseong Local Food Direct Store. Quality and safety are ensured through regular pesticide residue inspections and training. The usage fees are 15,000 won for adults, 10,000 won for students, and 6,000 won for preschool children. Infants under 36 months are free of charge.
Inside the restaurant, there is a 'Fruit Cafe Zone' that sells juices and beverages made from fruit, as well as a 'Cooking Class' area and an educational space for training farmers and consumers. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for the 19th, to be held in conjunction with the third anniversary celebration of the Jangseong Local Food Advanced Direct Store.
Governor Kim Hanjong stated, "We will provide safe food using fresh local ingredients and also contribute to the stability of farm management."
