Seungwon Park, Mayor of Gwangmyeong, stated, "The policies that the city has been promoting, such as those for the local economy and carbon neutrality, align with the direction pursued by the National Sovereignty Government. We will thoroughly review the new government's regional pledges and key issues to further strengthen the city's four core strategies."

The TF team, headed by Deputy Mayor Soonwook Jung, consists of the heads of eight departments, including the Business Support Division. The team will be divided into four subcommittees corresponding to the city's four core strategies: local economy, citizen safety, carbon neutrality, and a basic society.

In particular, the city plans to systematically address major projects included in the new government's regional pledges to ensure their smooth implementation. These projects include: the establishment of a new Sincheon-Haan-Sillim Line railway route; the construction of the Gwangmyeong-Siheung Line and GTX-D complex transfer Speedom Station; the development of an international administrative business hub around KTX Gwangmyeong Station; the creation of a global cultural and economic city in the Gwangmyeong-Siheung new town; the establishment of a youth innovation town on state-owned land in Haan-dong; the development of a comprehensive sports town along Mokgamcheon; the proposal for the Anyangcheon National Garden; and the construction of a new Guro Station exit in the direction of Gwangmyeong.

Additionally, the TF team will gather opinions on local government issues such as safety concerns related to development projects like the Shinansan Line, local care systems, and fiscal decentralization. These will be submitted as proposals to the central government. The team also plans to devise strategies to secure national funding in connection with the new government policy initiatives.

Mayor Park added, "With the launch of the National Sovereignty Government, I expect that many of the long-standing challenges faced by local governments, such as the local economy, safety, and autonomous decentralization, will be resolved. We will actively pursue policies in line with the new government agenda to improve the quality of life for our citizens and make this a turning point for Gwangmyeong's advancement."
