The area beneath the national railway overpass in Dobong-dong, Dobong District, Seoul (884 Dobong-ro) has been transformed into a bright and pleasant green rest area. Colorful planters are placed at the center of the garden, adding visual enjoyment and vibrancy. A variety of plants, including herbaceous flowers and shrubs, create a lively and cheerful atmosphere. Throughout the garden, various types of chairs and tables have been installed, allowing residents to relax and enjoy the flower-lined paths.

The exercise area is equipped with 15 different types of exercise machines, enabling visitors to enjoy a wide range of workouts. In addition, new pedestrian blocks were installed as part of this shelter project, significantly improving the safety and convenience of pedestrians who had previously been exposed to the risk of accidents with vehicles due to the absence of sidewalks.

The district has also renovated the green belt along Dobong-ro, which connects the shelter to Dobongsan Station, transforming the previously monotonous path into a multi-layered and vibrant “flower road.”

Oh Unseok, Mayor of Dobong District, stated, “The area beneath the railway overpass, which was previously underutilized, has been reborn as a resting place for residents. I hope it will become a beloved space open to everyone in the community. We will continue to actively discover unused spaces in the district and transform them into areas for residents.”
