'Siheung Citizen Family Love Walking Festival' to Be Held at Okgugongwon Park on June 14

Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province will hold its first 'Siheung Citizen Family Love Walking Festival' of the year at Okgugongwon Park on June 14.

This event features two round-trip courses, both starting at the Shell Stage in Okgugongwon Park and turning around at Gomsollurisoop Forest. The short course is 3.8 kilometers round-trip, while the long course is 8 kilometers round-trip.

Those wishing to participate can pre-register by scanning the QR code on the promotional poster by June 11. On-site registration will also be available at the starting point from 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event.

This event will be held in collaboration with the Walk to Overcome Dementia campaign. At the venue, a health promotion center will be set up, offering blood pressure and blood sugar checks, counseling on alcohol moderation, dementia prevention screenings, and various other health consultations. Simple stretching and warm-up exercises, as well as education on proper walking posture, will also be provided.
