On June 4, the Korea Exchange announced that it had received corporate governance reports from 549 companies listed on the KOSPI (Korea Composite Stock Price Index) market.
Among these, 541 companies are subject to mandatory disclosure of corporate governance reports, as they are listed companies with total assets of 500 billion won or more. In addition, eight companies, including HD Hyundai Energy Solutions, Hanall Biopharma, and HDC Labs, voluntarily disclosed their reports.
The main contents of the submitted reports are automatically converted and provided in English.
The Korea Exchange plans to focus its inspection on the key items previously announced, intensively checking for compliance with reporting guidelines and for any errors or misstatements in the reports until August.
Afterwards, for reports with insufficient entries or explanations, the Korea Exchange will require companies to provide clarifications and make corrective disclosures by October. In November, it will select and announce outstanding companies.
