On June 4, the first day of his presidency, President Lee Jaemyung is expected to mark the beginning of the new administration by receiving the transfer of military command authority and paying respects at the National Cemetery.

President Lee's term officially begins at the moment when the National Election Commission holds a plenary session between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and confirms his election.


The inauguration oath will be administered at the National Assembly. As the new government is being launched immediately without a transition committee, the ceremony is expected to be brief, concluding with the oath of office.


After the inauguration oath, President Lee is also scheduled to have a meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly and the leaders of both ruling and opposition parties.
