"Apologies for Failing to Achieve Unification... I Will Not Give Up Hope"
Kim Moonsoo, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, said on June 2, "A vote for Lee Junseok is a vote that helps Lee Jaemyung."
During a major campaign rally held at Busan Station Plaza on the same day, Kim stated, "I apologize for failing to reach a single candidacy agreement with Lee Junseok," and added, "I will not give up hope and will continue to work towards unification."
Kim also said, "If you vote for Kim Moonsoo, Kim Moonsoo will win," and appealed, "I ask for your overwhelming support so that we can usher in an era of hope."

Kim pledged to pursue changes and reforms that the people could not have imagined if he were elected. He said, "I will fundamentally change the way the government operates so that the people are never disappointed," and emphasized, "I will build a Korea where the people are happy, a Korea where everyone prospers together, a Korea without lies and corruption, and a Korea overflowing with hope for children, youth, and women."
He also promised reforms for intra-party democracy. Kim said, "The People Power Party and I will boldly push for innovations such as a horizontal relationship between the party and the president, the president's non-intervention in party affairs, and a healthy relationship between the party and the government, all with a renewed determination and attitude."
Regarding Lee Jaemyung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, Kim criticized, "While the people suffered under martial law, he repeatedly engaged in parliamentary dictatorship, and now he seeks to seize all power and establish a Hitler-style dictatorship," adding, "He is also signaling the forced passage of a self-serving immunity law and is trying to place the judiciary under his control."
He continued, "Anti-business, anti-market, and pro-labor union policies will intensify, causing the economy to regress," and pointed out, "Even as he claims to champion human rights and equality, he insults and discriminates against women, thanks his own supporters for such remarks, and is obsessed with dividing people into camps."
Kim appealed, "Tomorrow is the day when liberal democracy will drive out monstrous dictatorship and establish justice and the rule of law," and urged, "With your precious vote, please prevent the emergence of Lee Jaemyung's monstrous dictatorship."
