Dongkook Pharmaceutical announced on June 2 that its flagship brand, Insadol, received the Grand Prize in the Gum Medicine category at the 2025 National Industry Awards ceremony.

The National Industry Awards, held last April at EL Tower in Seocho-gu, Seoul, is the most prestigious industrial brand awards ceremony in Korea, selecting companies, organizations, and brands that have achieved outstanding results in each industry over the past year. The event is organized by the Industrial Policy Research Institute and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Insadol was selected as the winner in the Gum Medicine category, receiving high marks for its sustained growth in the domestic gum medicine market, product innovation, public interest campaigns, and achievements in global certification, among other factors.

Launched in 1983, Insadol is Dongkook Pharmaceutical's representative brand that has earned long-standing consumer trust. The company has continually expanded its product lineup by developing a variety of oral care products, including Insadol Plus?the first in Korea to receive a composite ingredient patent?Winplex Toothpaste, Insadent Denture Cleanser, and Chiarogel.

Since 2009, Dongkook Pharmaceutical has been running the "Gum Day" campaign every March 24 in partnership with the Korean Academy of Periodontology, working to raise public awareness of oral health. Since 2016, the company has also conducted the "Parents Love and Appreciation Campaign" for elderly people living alone, and its in-house volunteer group, the Insadol Plus Love Volunteer Corps, continues to carry out regular volunteer activities.

In particular, last year, Insadol received over-the-counter drug approval from Swissmedic, the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products, gaining international recognition for its quality and safety. This is especially significant as the product's effectiveness for early gum inflammation and initial periodontal diseases was acknowledged by a regulatory authority in a leading pharmaceutical country.

A Dongkook Pharmaceutical representative stated, "For over 40 years, Insadol has been a brand that has protected consumers' gum health in their daily lives, and this award is a meaningful recognition of those longstanding efforts," adding, "We will continue to provide reliable products and contribute to society so that more people can easily manage their oral health in everyday life."
