The "Namhansanseong History Walk" book concert will be held in the middle of this month.
The Wirye Institute of History and Culture and the Namhansanseong Research Society announced on the 2nd that they will hold the Namhansanseong History Walk book concert, which will include both a book concert and a performance, at the Namhansanseong History and Culture Center on the 25th.
"Namhansanseong History Walk" is a book that offers an in-depth exploration of the 2,000-year history, natural environment, and cultural value of Namhansanseong. Six historians and university professors, including Kim Kiyeong, Kim Myungseop, Kim Idong, Shim Gwangju, Cho Byungro, and Choi Kyugeun, participated as authors.
The book has been praised for not being a simple record-oriented history book, but rather for engagingly following and unraveling the hidden stories, legends, and the lives of people who have protected Namhansanseong throughout its history.
The event will begin with a preliminary cultural program, followed by the book concert from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The evening dinner, following the book concert, will be held at Dubu Gongbang from 5:30 p.m. and is expected to last about two hours.
Cho Byungro, president of the Namhansanseong Research Society and former professor at Kyonggi University, stated, "We prepared this book concert with the intention of promoting the Gyeonggi cultural movement in a new atmosphere since the launch of the Namhansanseong Research Society."
