Approximately 30 people participated in this cleanup activity, including BPA executives and employees, as well as representatives from terminal operators at Busan New Port. The participants contributed to the preservation of the marine environment by collecting household waste such as discarded plastic, Styrofoam, and fishing gear from the coastline.
Cheonseong Port is a waterfront area equipped with amenities such as an auto camping site and restrooms nearby. It is a region frequently visited by many people on weekends, resulting in frequent illegal dumping of trash.
Since 2022, BPA has been conducting regular independent coastal cleanup activities in the Cheonseong Port area. For this event, cleanup supplies such as sacks were provided with support from the Gadeokdo-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Busan.
BPA President Song Sanggeun stated, "We will continue our efforts to ensure the sustainability of Busan Port and to preserve the marine environment," adding, "We plan to strengthen ESG activities in collaboration with the local community."
