Lee Jae Myung Calls Ribak School Comment Manipulation Allegations "An Unacceptable Act of Constitutional Destruction"

Lee Jae Myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate, called the reported creation of a comment manipulation team by Ribak School, known as an affiliate group of the People Power Party, “a challenge to the order of democracy.”

On the morning of June 1, during a YouTube livestream with OhmyTV in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province, Lee stated, “This is a highly organized act that absolutely cannot be tolerated and is a destructive act against the constitutional order. It is an act of insurrection that undermines and destroys the basic democratic order.” He further emphasized, “There must be a thorough investigation so that the full truth is revealed, responsibility is assigned, and measures are taken to prevent recurrence.”

Previously, on May 30, Newstapa reported that Ribak School?named after the surnames of former presidents Syngman Rhee and Park Chung Hee?had recruited and operated a comment team called ‘Jasongun,’ meaning ‘the army of free fingers that saves the country through comments.’

In response, Lee pointed out, “What is even more serious is that Ribak School is an institution that trains and educates after-school care teachers.” He added, “They lured people in with the promise of certification and then made them post comments like ‘Lee Jae Myung is a bad person, Kim Moonsoo is a good person.’”

He continued, “They had people who are supposed to educate children who are not yet fully mature post such comments. It is said that about 2,400 care teachers have been produced?what do you think those people are doing now?”

Lee stressed, “When considering why certain actions were taken, we must look at who benefits. It is clear that these activities were carried out for the benefit of the People Power Party. Although we cannot make a definitive conclusion, such a relationship is strongly suspected, so the truth must be uncovered even more thoroughly.”
