Remodeling of "Chamnamu Urijip" in Pocheon
"Wishing for Healthy Growth in a Safe Space"
On May 30, LX Hausys held a ceremony to mark the completion of the remodeling of the group home "Chamnamu Urijip" in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, the company announced on June 1.
A group home is a small-scale child protection facility operated in apartments or multi-family houses to help children and adolescents in need of protection grow up safely and eventually become independent. Many group homes are aging, but are reportedly struggling to renovate their facilities due to cost issues.

In response, since last year, LX Hausys has been carrying out a social contribution project to help renovate aging group home facilities in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Korea and the Korea Association of Group Homes for Children and Youth.
The group home "Chamnamu Urijip" is a 48-pyeong (approximately 158.7 square meters) single-family house where six children and adolescents reside. The house was urgently in need of renovation, as water leaks had caused mold stains on the walls and floors, and poor insulation made it vulnerable to both cold and heat. To address these issues, LX Hausys provided support for windows, flooring, wallpaper, interior doors, and furniture boards, carrying out extensive renovations over the course of about one month starting in April.
