DL E&C to Construct Hannam District 5

Project Valued at 1.8 Trillion Won

DL E&C has been selected as the contractor for the redevelopment of Hannam District 5 in Yongsan, Seoul. On May 31, at the general meeting of association members for the Hannam District 5 redevelopment project, the proposal to select DL E&C as the contractor was approved with a 92.4% approval rate.


Out of 1,545 association members, 1,170 attended the vote, and 1,081 members (92.4%) voted in favor of DL E&C's proposal.


DL E&C had previously submitted two sole bids last year, both of which failed. However, the company submitted a third sole bid last month, was selected as the preferred negotiation partner, and was put to a vote at this general meeting.


The Hannam District 5 project is a large-scale housing redevelopment initiative covering 141,186 square meters around 60 Dongbinggo-dong, Yongsan. The plan includes the construction of 2,401 apartment units and 146 officetels. The area is highly valued for its flat terrain and excellent views of the Han River. Based on the construction cost proposed by the association, the total project cost amounts to 1.7584 trillion won.


With this contract, DL E&C's cumulative urban redevelopment orders for this year have increased from 924.6 billion won to 2.683 trillion won, surpassing the 2 trillion won mark.


DL E&C has proposed the name 'Acro Hannam' for the Hannam District 5 complex and plans to configure 74% of the total units as medium to large-sized units with an exclusive area of 84 square meters or more.

A total of 1,670 units?more than the number of association member households?will have views of the Han River, and among these, 1,480 units will enjoy the full 'Wide Han River View.'


A DL E&C representative stated, "We deeply appreciate the overwhelming support from the members of the Hannam District 5 association, and we will do our utmost to create a unique, high-end landmark along the Han River that will instill pride in its residents."
