This inspection is part of the 2025 Intensive Safety Inspection, which is being carried out over 61 days from April 14 to June 13, 2025. The purpose is to identify and improve risk factors in facilities vulnerable to disasters and safety accidents in advance.
On the day of the inspection, Mayor Baek Younghyeon of Pocheon City personally participated, presided over the inspection meeting, and inspected the site. The inspection was attended by officials from the Citizen Safety Division, the Environmental Management Division, and private safety experts, adding expertise and objectivity to the process.
The main inspection items included: ▲the maintenance status of facilities, such as cracks, corrosion, or deformation; ▲the presence of hazardous gas leaks, suffocation, or explosion risks in confined spaces; and ▲the adequacy of emergency contact networks and rapid recovery systems.
In addition, a scripted drill and a Q&A session with field staff were conducted in parallel to enhance the effectiveness of the inspection by strengthening response capabilities in the event of an actual accident.
Mayor Baek Younghyeon stated, "The safety of public facilities is directly linked to the lives of our citizens," and added, "We will do our utmost to minimize safety blind spots and ensure systematic management through on-site inspections and public-private cooperation."
