Hyundai AutoEver Participates in 'AUTOSAR Conference'... Improving Vehicle Quality Through Software Code Analysis

Participating as a Speaker at the AUTOSAR Open Conference

Hyundai AutoEver announced on May 30 that it participated as a speaker at the 16th AUTOSAR Open Conference (AOC), which was held in Bruges, Belgium, starting on the 27th (local time).

The AOC is an event where companies in the automotive industry discuss the development and innovation of "AUTOSAR," a standardized vehicle software (SW) framework jointly created by automotive-related companies. It also serves as a platform for automotive industry professionals and vehicle software developers to showcase their technological competitiveness.

This year's event was held under the theme "AUTOSAR Solutions for Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) Challenges." In addition to Hyundai AutoEver, more than 30 global automakers and vehicle software companies, including Mercedes-Benz, Bosch, and Elektrobit, participated as speakers.

Hyundai AutoEver Participates in 'AUTOSAR Conference'... Improving Vehicle Quality Through Software Code Analysis Hyundai AutoEver participated in the "Autosa Open Conference (AOC)" held in Bruges, Belgium, on the 27th and 28th (local time). Junhyun Park, head of the Vehicle Electronics Software Center, presented improvement plans for software quality based on visualization. Provided by Hyundai AutoEver

Hyundai AutoEver gave a presentation on how visualizing the results of "Continuous Test" for AUTOSAR-based operating systems (OS) can contribute to quality improvement. Continuous Test is a method of verifying quality throughout the entire software lifecycle, from the planning stage at the start of development to final deployment.

Unlike traditional methods that verify quality only immediately before software deployment, Continuous Test enables early detection and correction of errors (bugs), thereby accelerating development speed. The data presented by Hyundai AutoEver was based on information accumulated over the past three years during its own vehicle software development process.

Hyundai AutoEver used its proprietary tool to visualize vehicle software test results as charts. The company also suggested that developers can quickly identify areas for improvement through these visualized charts. Previously, developers had to analyze code data one by one to verify the quality of vehicle software, which required at least a full day for verification.

However, the tool developed by Hyundai AutoEver automatically analyzes the correlations among code data and presents them as visualized materials. Developers can identify within minutes which data needs to be modified to improve quality.

AUTOSAR refers to a standardized platform for the software architecture used in vehicles. Hyundai AutoEver independently developed "mobilgene," the standard vehicle software platform for Hyundai Motor Group, which complies with AUTOSAR standards. Mobilgene is currently applied to all mass-produced vehicles of Hyundai Motor Group, including Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis.
