Campaigning Across Gwangju: Picking Up Trash and Appealing for Votes
"This Presidential Election Is the Last Chance to Restore Constitutional Order"

The Gwangju branch of the Party for National Innovation is conducting the "9 Seats, 9 Corners Real Campaign" throughout Gwangju until June 2, with the goal of holding the forces behind the 12·3 Rebellion accountable and restoring constitutional order.

According to the Gwangju branch of the Party for National Innovation on May 29, the branch is launching a "Every Corner Campaign" using ballot number 9, aiming to reach every part of Gwangju. They are engaging in grassroots activities in alleys, markets, and parks. Chairperson Seo Wangjin stated, "This presidential election is the last opportunity to restore democracy," adding, "Politics that will open a true Republic of Korea begins when we listen on the streets, ask questions in the alleys, and put our words into practice in the daily lives of citizens."

During this campaign, the Party for National Innovation is also conducting a "plogging-style campaign," picking up trash on the streets while encouraging people to vote. The Gwangju branch explained, "The December rebellion was political trash, and the act of cleaning up trash from the streets is a symbolic practice of reestablishing true democracy."

The Party for National Innovation has also led the "Joint Declaration for the Protection of the Constitution, Liquidation of the Rebellion, and Support for Candidate Lee Jae-myung by Four Parties," formalizing an election alliance with the Democratic Party of Korea, Basic Income Party, and Sonamoo Party. Within the Gwangju election campaign committee, the "Gwangju Committee for National Innovation" has been established, and the grassroots campaign in alleys continues.

The Gwangju branch stated, "This presidential election is not simply about a change of government, but represents the collective will of the citizens for the restoration of the constitution and a major transformation of society," adding, "By walking through every alley in Gwangju as if making house calls and gathering the will of each and every citizen, we will open the way for the true Republic of Korea on June 3."
