The Cheongsong County Family Center invited about 50 families to a magic performance on May 28 as part of its Family Day event for May.
'Family Day' is a program designed to allow local residents to enjoy cultural and artistic experiences with their families close to home. Its aim is to foster a healthy family culture and to enhance communication and bonds among family members.
This program will continue to be held during the last week of every month until December.
The event took place at the indoor assembly hall of the Cheongsong County Youth Training Center and featured cultural and artistic performances for the whole family to enjoy together.
Song Seungho, an artist from Fiction Company, performed a variety magic show that included the piece selected as 'Magic Street' at the World Magic Olympics. The show featured diverse performances such as 'shadowgraphy' expressed with hands and light, and the endless transformation of doves. Children who watched up close reacted with amazement.
In particular, during the levitation magic act in which a child voluntarily participated, the child's father could not hide his surprise. The hour-long performance became a special memory that transported both parents and children into a world of imagination, filling the evening with joyful laughter.
Yoon Kyunghee, the governor of Cheongsong County, said, "Although Cheongsong County is going through a difficult time, we will continue to support family culture and education programs so that the laughter of children and families never ceases."
