Promote and Consult for Local SMEs through Mapo District Office Website
Expanding Opportunities for SME Participation to Foster a Virtuous Local Economy
Mapo District (District Mayor Park Kangsoo) has established a new "Showcase Your Mapo Business" bulletin board on the Mapo District Office website to protect local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) facing significant challenges due to the ongoing economic downturn, and to revitalize the local economy.
This bulletin board is accessible after logging in to the Mapo District Office website and consists of three main sections.
The first section is "Apply for Local Business Registration." Here, SMEs can directly register information about their business status and sales performance to promote their companies. Once the information is entered, the relevant department reviews the submission, and the business information is then posted on the Mapo District Office website.
The district uses this data to assess the performance capability of businesses during contract processes. Through this, local companies can more effectively showcase their capabilities and gain opportunities to participate in public contracts.
The second section is the "Mapo Business Priority Purchase Consultation Window." Local SMEs can review lists of public works, services, and goods procurement projects planned by Mapo District and apply for consultations with the relevant procurement departments. When applying, companies can enter two to three preferred dates for the meeting, and the relevant department will coordinate the schedule before proceeding with the consultation.
Through this process, project departments can compare and analyze material information and business status before placing orders, and it is expected to provide a foundation for reviewing and purchasing products from local SMEs first.
The third section is "Status of Companies Registered on Nara Marketplace." By posting the status of companies located in Mapo that are registered on Nara Marketplace (G2B) on the bulletin board, the district aims to increase the visibility of local businesses and create a fair competitive environment, rather than a contract structure focused on specific companies.
The district plans to use this bulletin board to provide a foundation for a variety of local SMEs to participate in public procurement projects and to offer a practical link between the public sector and businesses. Additionally, the district aims to foster a virtuous cycle in the local economy by creating a structure in which consumption and investment take place within the community.
Park Kangsoo, Mayor of Mapo District, stated, "Local companies are the solid foundation supporting the Mapo economy," and added, "We will actively support local SMEs in enhancing their competitiveness and increasing sales through public procurement by operating this bulletin board."
In addition, Mapo District encourages the preferential hiring of Mapo residents when bidding for construction and service projects that require on-site workers. The district is also actively promoting the preferential use of local companies for subcontracting, as well as for on-site construction equipment and building materials.
