Inspection of Key Facilities and Equipment at Mokpo Bujudong
Kim Youngrok, Governor of Jeonnam Province, visited the early voting station installed at the Mokpo Bujudong Administrative Welfare Center on the 28th to inspect preparations for the 21st presidential election early voting.
According to Jeonnam Province, on this day, Governor Kim focused on checking the operational equipment for voting, voting booths, facilities for disabled voters, and the readiness of electrical and communication equipment.
He urged officials to ensure smooth voter flow, to prepare measures against temporary voter congestion, power outages, and communication failures, and to thoroughly manage fire safety near the polling stations.
In particular, considering that illegal cameras were installed in some early voting stations during last year's general election, he also checked the status of a comprehensive inspection for any unusual issues, including the possible installation of illegal cameras.
Governor Kim emphasized, "As public interest in this presidential election is very high, we will ensure that residents can participate in voting with peace of mind," and added, "We will take the lead in preparing for Jeonnam's future development and residents' happiness in line with the launch of the new government after the presidential election."
The early voting for the 21st presidential election will take place over two days, from the 29th to the 30th. Voters can cast their ballots at any early voting station nationwide from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. by bringing an ID card such as a resident registration card, passport, or driver's license.
In Jeonnam, a total of 298 early voting stations will operate across 22 cities and counties. The locations of the polling stations can be checked through the polling station search service on the National Election Commission's official website.
