The signing ceremony was attended by SaeHwan Bang, Mayor of Gwangju City, and Seongae Oh, Superintendent of the Gwangju Hanam Office of Education. The event was organized to strengthen English education infrastructure through cooperation between the city and the education office, and to support local youth in improving their English communication skills and developing a global mindset through various programs linked to digital educational content.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will jointly plan and operate a variety of English reading programs, utilizing over 16,700 English books owned by the Gwangnam Library and connecting them with native English teacher programs currently run by the Gwangju Hanam Office of Education.

In addition, they will promote digital convergence education by producing digital content directly using the media studio established within the Gwangnam Library and integrating this content into educational activities.

In particular, based on this agreement, the two organizations plan to establish a cooperative system across all areas of education, including English-specialized education projects for youth, operation of cultural and arts programs linked with the library, and expansion of digital convergence education.

Mayor SaeHwan Bang stated, "This agreement will serve as a valuable starting point for the youth of Gwangju City to nurture their dreams on the global stage," adding, "We will continue to provide generous support so that young people can grow into key players in the future society through educational cooperation created jointly by schools and the local community."
