Nvidia's partners, including Foxconn, recently stated at the "Computex 2025" information technology (IT) exhibition held in Taiwan that they began delivering GB200 racks at the end of the first quarter and are rapidly increasing production volumes.

Racks used in data centers are structures that securely house and interconnect essential equipment such as chips and cables. The GB200 rack consists of 36 "Grace" central processing units (CPUs) and 72 Blackwell graphics processing units (GPUs).

Previously, in January, the IT media outlet The Information reported that the first batch of racks equipped with Blackwell chips experienced overheating and connectivity issues, leading major customers to postpone or cancel orders. Regarding this, an employee of one partner company stated, "Internal testing revealed connectivity issues," and added, "We worked with Nvidia to resolve the problems. This occurred two to three months ago."

Zhu Weijia, an analyst at the consulting firm SemiAnalysis, observed, "There has never been an attempt to run so many AI processors simultaneously in a single server within such a short period," and explained, "Delays occurred because Nvidia did not give its partners sufficient preparation time. However, as manufacturers increase production in the second half of the year, the inventory risk for the GB200 will be alleviated."

Investors are focusing on the volume of Blackwell deliveries in Nvidia's quarterly earnings report to be announced on May 28. On May 13, Nvidia signed a contract to supply more than 18,000 of its latest AI chips to the Saudi Arabian company Humane and has also agreed to participate in building the world's largest data center in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In addition, Nvidia is reportedly rushing to launch the next-generation GB300 rack in the third quarter.
