The Green Umbrella Gwangju Regional Headquarters announced on May 28 that it held a donation ceremony with the National Asia Culture Center (ACC) Foundation for the 'HOW FUN 11' Sharing Booth Donation Bangbang.
This donation was raised through the operation of the 'Donation Bangbang' sharing booth at the 'ACC Children's Culture Festival HOW FUN 11,' which took place from May 3 to 5. The 'Donation Bangbang' sharing booth is an experiential program designed to allow children who have received sharing education to participate directly in giving. After making paper piggy banks and writing encouraging messages, children exchanged coins and donated them by jumping on a trampoline, naturally dropping the coins as a way to give.
Through this activity, approximately 730,000 won in coins was collected, and the amount pledged for regular donations at the event reached an annual total of about 18,500,000 won. The funds raised will be used for customized support such as educational and living expenses for child family caregivers who are directly caring for family members due to illness or disability, so that they can fully focus on their dreams and studies.
Kim Myungkyu, President of the ACC Foundation, stated, "I am grateful to Green Umbrella for providing an opportunity to promote the value of sharing with neighbors in need at a festival held during Family Month," and added, "We will continue to show interest in and cooperate with projects for children's welfare in the future."
