Yeongdeok County Conducts Simulated Training and Education for Handling Special Civil Complaints at Civil Service Office

Yeongdeok County in North Gyeongsang Province conducted a "simulated training for handling special civil complaints and education on entry restriction and eviction procedures" at the civil service office on the 28th in response to the recent increase in verbal abuse and physical assaults against public officials.

This training focused on strengthening the ability to respond quickly and effectively in actual situations, based on a scenario simulating verbal abuse and physical assault by civil petitioners. It was conducted jointly by about 20 participants, including staff from the Yeongdeok County General Civil Affairs Processing Department and personnel from the 112 Integrated Security Situation Room of the Yeongdeok Police Station.

After the training, all staff members of the civil service office received education on procedures for entry restriction and eviction, further enhancing their capacity to respond safely in the field.

Yeongdeok County plans to conduct a second round of simulated training in July and will continue to regularly inspect its response system to special civil complaints by holding such training once every half-year.

Additionally, the county will install informational notices about entry restriction and eviction procedures in the civil service office and in township and town administrative welfare centers to raise safety awareness at civil service sites.

County Governor Kim Kwangyeol stated, "Based on a close cooperative system with the Yeongdeok Police Station, we will continue education and training to create a safe civil service environment where public officials and residents can trust each other, so that public officials can provide better services in a stable working environment."
