Governor Kim observed the mechanical rice planting taking place in the paddy fields where the agricultural solar panels are installed, and then directly discussed the progress of the project and on-site challenges with local residents.
A village resident commented, "Agricultural solar power is unfamiliar, but there are no particular difficulties." However, the resident added, "It is unfair for farmers that direct payment subsidies are excluded. The government should resolve this issue."
Governor Kim emphasized, "Agricultural solar power can be a practical solution for increasing rural income and overcoming the crisis of regional extinction," and stressed, "We need a structure where farming can continue as usual while also gaining profits from solar power."
He further stated, "We will actively benchmark the agricultural solar power project in Wolpyeong Village and closely review ways to introduce a similar system tailored to the conditions in Muan."
