Pre-inspection Sites Expanded by 26% Year-on-Year
Dedicated Service Personnel Increased by 23%
AI-Based Failure Prediction for Differentiated Service
Hiemsolutec, a specialized maintenance subsidiary for LG Electronics system air conditioners and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), announced on May 28 that it has expanded its nationwide pre-inspection of maintenance sites by 26% compared to the previous year, ahead of the peak summer season.
This inspection was conducted from March through mid-May, combining both online diagnostics and on-site visits for LG system air conditioner maintenance sites. In particular, online inspections increased by 45% compared to the same period last year. This result was due to the number of sites capable of remote device abnormality checks surpassing 9,000 as of April. Offline on-site inspections were carried out using the LG-exclusive system air conditioner diagnostic device (LG MV), which checked the operating status of the system air conditioner, outdoor unit abnormalities, cooling cycle and indoor unit noise, filter contamination, and panels, both inside and out.
This pre-inspection was implemented as a proactive measure to distribute the concentration of repair requests during the peak season and to reduce system air conditioner downtime. In fact, during last year's summer peak season, the repair service request rate at maintenance sites that underwent pre-inspection was about half that of general repair services, indicating that pre-inspections were effective in reducing failure rates.
Accordingly, Hiemsolutec has further refined its response system this year to ensure smooth operation of system air conditioners during the peak season. By conducting simulations at each center, the company calculated expected service wait times in advance, and in areas where customer requests are expected to surge and cause bottlenecks, it organized mobile response teams to provide prompt service to customers.
While strengthening on-site response capabilities, the company also secured materials to maintain service quality. Maintenance sites will expand dedicated service personnel by 23% this year compared to last year, and to prepare for increased peak season demand, the stock of frequently used key parts has been increased by about 9% compared to the previous year, minimizing service gaps caused by supply delays.
Yu Kwangyeol, CEO of Hiemsolutec, stated, "Cooling and HVAC systems such as system air conditioners are not just about comfort?they are core infrastructure directly linked to corporate work efficiency and operational stability. Through a sophisticated maintenance system that encompasses pre-inspection, failure prediction, and rapid repair services, we will minimize system air conditioner downtime and provide an operational environment where customers can use our products with confidence even during the summer."
