The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency will provide logistics cost support for small and medium-sized export companies in the Anseong area.
On May 28, the agency announced that it is accepting applications for the "Anseong City Export Logistics SOS and Sample Shipping Cost Support Program" until June 13.
This program is a city-specific initiative designed to support local export companies struggling with high logistics costs due to global trade disputes and the spread of protectionism in various countries. It also aims to strengthen the export competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in the province.
Accordingly, the agency will cover 60% of domestic and international shipping costs and sample delivery expenses incurred since January this year, up to a maximum of 6 million won per company. Applications will be accepted without limit on the number of submissions until the budget is exhausted.
Eligible support items include: ▲domestic shipping costs (such as container freight), ▲international shipping costs (including sea and air freight, fuel surcharges, and exchange rate surcharges), and ▲sample delivery expenses.
Kim Hyungon, President of the agency, stated, "We launched this program to substantially reduce the logistics cost burden for small and medium-sized enterprises in Anseong City and to support the overseas market entry of potential exporters. We will continue to work with Anseong City to further strengthen the export competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises."
Meanwhile, last year the agency supported 341 cases for 40 companies through this program.
