Hyundai Motor Company's flagship electric SUV, the Ioniq 9, has been selected as the official fleet vehicle for the Embassy of the Netherlands in Korea.

On the 27th, Hyundai Motor Company announced that it held an official handover ceremony for the Ioniq 9 fleet vehicle at its Asan plant, with Pieter van der Fleet, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Korea, Kim Ilbeom, Vice President of Hyundai Motor GPO (Global Policy Office), and Park Seguk, Executive Director of Hyundai Motor Asan Plant, in attendance.
The Netherlands is a leading country in electrification with one of the most advanced electric vehicle charging infrastructures in Europe. In line with its interest in and support for eco-friendly vehicles, the Embassy of the Netherlands has decided to replace the ambassador's official vehicle with an electric vehicle for the first time. Going forward, the Ioniq 9 will be used as the means of transportation for the Dutch ambassador's participation in official events and for the execution of official duties in Korea.
The Ioniq 9 is a large electric SUV based on Hyundai's dedicated electric vehicle platform, E-GMP. With its top-tier technology and outstanding design, it was named "Best 7-Seater Electric Car" at the "2025 Top Gear Electric Awards" hosted by Top Gear.
On this day, Pieter van der Fleet, the Dutch Ambassador to Korea, toured the key production lines of the Ioniq 9 at Hyundai's Asan plant and experienced the product features of the Ioniq 9 firsthand.

Pieter van der Fleet, the Dutch Ambassador to Korea, stated, "Taking into account the Ioniq 9's excellent driving range, high economic efficiency, outstanding eco-friendliness, and practical performance, I personally selected it as the official fleet vehicle. I am pleased to welcome the flagship Ioniq 9, which represents Hyundai's leading eco-friendly technology, as the official vehicle for the first time among diplomatic missions in Korea."
A Hyundai Motor Company representative said, "We are delighted that the Ioniq 9, with its exceptional eco-friendliness and outstanding product features, has been chosen as the official vehicle for the Dutch ambassador in Korea.
