Ulsan City to Inspect Early Voting Stations for the 21st Presidential Election on May 28

Ahn Seungdae, Deputy Mayor for Administrative Affairs, Visits Yaksadong Administrative Welfare Center
Urges Thorough Election Management and Safety Measures

On May 28 at 4:30 p.m., Ulsan City Deputy Mayor for Administrative Affairs Ahn Seungdae will visit the early voting station at Yaksadong (Yaksadong Administrative Welfare Center) to inspect election management procedures.

This inspection will take place one day before early voting (May 29 to May 30), in accordance with the mock early voting test schedule conducted at 55 early voting stations by each district and the election commission.

Deputy Mayor Ahn Seungdae will check the installation of early voting stations and the preparations to prevent safety accidents. In particular, he will emphasize the need for thorough inspections of illegal facilities such as hidden cameras inside early voting stations, as well as the management of security measures including the closure of doors and windows. He will also offer encouragement to staff members.

The city will operate a "Voting and Ballot Counting Support Situation Room" at City Hall, staffed by 50 people in three teams, from early voting (May 29 to 30) until the end of ballot counting on election day (June 3). The city plans to respond swiftly to various incidents and accidents through real-time communication.

Deputy Mayor Ahn Seungdae stated, "Early voting for the 21st presidential election will be held for two days starting May 29," and urged, "Please cast your valuable vote for the future of the Republic of Korea and Ulsan."

The early voting system allows any eligible voter who finds it difficult to vote on election day (June 3) to vote conveniently without prior notice. Voters can cast their ballots at any early voting station set up in the Ulsan area.

The locations of early voting stations can be checked on the website of the National Election Commission.

In addition, starting at 2:00 p.m. on the same day, the Ulsan Fire Department will visit Daehyeon Gymnasium (Yaeum-dong, Nam-gu), which serves as an early voting station for the presidential election, and the Ulju County National Sports Center (Beomseo-eup, Ulju-gun) to conduct on-site safety inspections.

The main items to be inspected include: △ verification of the installation, maintenance, and management of fire safety facilities; △ on-site administrative guidance at voting and ballot counting stations; and △ autonomous safety consultations (consulting) with related personnel.
