Comprehensive Support for Preparation and Promotion
The Daegu Gyeongbuk Economic Zone Authority (headed by Kim Byungsam) announced on May 27 that it will officially launch the "2025 Resident Companies Domestic Exhibition Participation Support Project" to help resident small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) expand their domestic and international sales channels and promote their technological capabilities.
This project is a flagship business support program that provides practical marketing opportunities for outstanding SMEs within the Daegu Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone (DGFEZ) to participate in major industrial exhibitions nationwide and directly promote their products and technologies. In particular, through this project, DGFEZ helps companies secure export opportunities through direct consultations with buyers, discover new business partners, and lower market entry barriers.
As a result of the recruitment process targeting resident companies in the Daegu Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone, a total of 17 companies applied for this project. After a fair evaluation process by external experts, six companies were finally selected. These selected companies will participate in nationwide exhibitions relevant to their respective industries, promote new products, and expand domestic and international business opportunities through various activities such as buyer consultations and market research.
The selected companies and their scheduled exhibitions are as follows. Raj Co., Ltd., a company specializing in glass fiber-based composite materials, will participate in the 2025 International Fire Safety Expo (May 28-30, COEX) to showcase thermoplastic composite components targeting the future mobility market.
FutureDrive Co., Ltd., a deep-tech startup specializing in autonomous driving software, will unveil its self-developed ADS integrated solution and seek to attract customers and investors at the 2025 Autonomous Driving Mobility Industry Exhibition (July 7-11, COEX).
Birdsia, a manufacturer of baby and pet products, aims to enter the pet export market through participation in the 2025 K-Pet Fair Daegu (August 29-31, EXCO).
GreenCore ENC Co., Ltd., a company specializing in industrial precision filtration systems, will participate in the Korea ESG Eco-Friendly Expo (September 24-26, COEX) and plans to make a full-scale entry into the global lithium extraction equipment market.
Jin Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of electronic vibration testers, aims to increase sales through prototype demonstrations and technical consultations at the 2025 International Advanced Materials and Components Industry Exhibition (November 18-21, EXCO).
Burin Co., Ltd., a company specializing in plastic corrugated sheets, will seek opportunities for collaboration with global OEM companies at the 2025 International Advanced Materials and Components Industry Exhibition (November 18-21, EXCO).
Each company will receive support of up to KRW 4.5 million per company for booth rental, equipment, and promotional expenses required for exhibition participation. Comprehensive support will be provided throughout the entire process, from exhibition preparation to post-exhibition promotion and buyer engagement, to ensure practical and tangible results.
Meanwhile, in the same project last year, a total of six companies participated in exhibitions, conducted 98 buyer consultations, and achieved a total consultation amount of approximately KRW 1.3 billion, leading to substantial export opportunities. Participating companies reported positive outcomes such as securing buyer databases, collecting product feedback, and signing on-site contracts. The program was evaluated as an opportunity to raise nationwide awareness of the technological capabilities and competitiveness of local SMEs.
Kim Byungsam, head of the authority, stated, "This domestic exhibition participation support project will serve as a platform for local companies to meet new markets and customers." He added, "DGFEZ will continue to provide effective support so that SMEs can properly promote their technologies and products." He also emphasized, "Through this, we will continue systematic support so that local companies can achieve sustainable growth and develop into leading mid-sized enterprises that drive the regional economy."
