Gwangju University announced on the 27th that it conducted a cultural exploration program in Jeju Island for 98 international students.

This three-day, two-night program, held from the 19th to the 21st, offered participants opportunities to experience Jeju's beautiful natural scenery and traditional culture firsthand, including visits to Seongsan Ilchulbong and the Jeju Folk Village. The itinerary also included experiences at a water park and a theme park, as well as meals featuring local specialties such as black pork barbecue and braised cutlassfish.

The international students stated, "It was a valuable time that went beyond a simple trip, allowing us to learn about Korea's unique customs and ways of life, and helping us better adapt to Korean society." They added, "It was an opportunity to develop a global mindset and feel a sense of belonging as members of both the university and the local community."

An official from the Office of International Cooperation at Gwangju University said, "We will continue to provide educational opportunities that enable international students to grow through diverse cultural experiences."
