Sharp Criticism of Lee Nakyon and Kim Moonsu's Alliance Declaration
Head of the Rebellion Sympathizers... "It Is Sad"
Kim Youngrok, Governor of Jeonnam, stated on May 27 that he "cannot hide his grief" regarding Lee Nakyon, Senior Advisor of the Saemirae Democratic Party, declaring a political alliance with Kim Moonsu, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party.
On his Facebook page that day, Governor Kim wrote, "Lee Nakyon says he will cooperate with the People Power Party to form a joint government and push for constitutional amendments," and added, "After repeated transformations, he has crossed the point of no return and ultimately chosen a path that leads to a thousand-foot cliff."
He continued, "It was only recently that, through his attempt at unification with Han Ducksoo, the acting leader during the rebellion, he inflicted an irreparable sense of betrayal on the people of Honam. Now, he has become the head of a joint government with those who sympathized with the rebellion." He went on to say, "I do not know how long he intends to disappoint and anger the people of Jeonnam. It is shameful and heartbreaking that someone who served as both Jeonnam Governor and Prime Minister within the embrace of Honam and the Democratic Party has come to this."
