Jeonnam Development Corporation participated in the "2025 Cultural Diversity Week" event, which was hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and jointly organized by the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service and the Jeonnam Cultural Foundation. At the event, the corporation promoted its offshore wind power generation project and the main offshore wind power policies of Jeollanam-do.
At this event, which was recently held at Mokpo Peace Square under the theme "Embracing Differences, Connecting Through Culture," the corporation shared a promotional video about the installation process of the "Yeonggwang Yaksu Offshore Wind Power" project, a public-led offshore wind power demonstration project that recently began commercial operation.
In addition, the corporation informed visitors about major offshore wind power strategies and policies being pursued in island regions such as Sinan and Wando. The corporation also organized a pinwheel-making experience program for children, allowing them to directly experience the connection between wind and energy, as well as between islands and future energy.
In particular, the pinwheel-making experience, which was designed to help children and family visitors easily understand the principles of wind and offshore wind power generation, received an enthusiastic response.
Jang Chungmo, President of Jeonnam Development Corporation, stated, "It was a meaningful occasion where, under the broad theme of understanding differences and recognizing diversity, we could share a vision for the future through offshore wind power utilizing Jeonnam's unique asset of islands and wind."
