Pyeongtaek City Recruiting Participants for Summer 'University Student Internship Program' Until June 5

This program is designed to help university students enhance their employment competitiveness and gain experience in economic independence by providing various practical work experiences during the vacation period. Selected students will work at public institutions such as the city hall, branch offices, and administrative welfare centers in towns and villages, where they will perform tasks such as office assistance.

The recruitment quota is a total of 123 students: 61 for the first session and 62 for the second session. The work periods are as follows: first session (July 7 to July 31), second session (August 4 to August 29). Participants will work seven hours a day, five days a week. The wage is set at 11,280 won per hour, based on this year's living wage in Pyeongtaek City, which amounts to 78,960 won per day for seven hours of work.

Eligible applicants are university students or students on leave of absence who, as of the announcement date (May 27), are either registered residents of Pyeongtaek City or are registered as marriage immigrants (F-6) or permanent residents (F-5) on the Pyeongtaek City foreigner registration list, and are 34 years old or younger. The city will give priority to 20% of the recruitment quota for recipients of basic livelihood security, members of the lower-income class, and persons with disabilities. Those who have previously participated in the program, those who withdrew partway, and graduates are excluded from eligibility.

Participants will be selected through an electronic lottery. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Pyeongtaek City Job and Economy Division.
