Hyunkyung Park Achieves Bogey-Free Victory... 12th in KLPGA History

E1 Charity Open Final Round: 6-Under-Par Comeback Victory
Eighth Career Win Since Last Year’s McCall Mona Yongpyong Open
Chaeun Lee 2 Runner-Up, Kyul Park Fourth, Yewon Lee Misses Cut

Hyunkyung Park lifted her first trophy of the 2025 season.


On May 25, at Ferrum Club (par 72, 6,366 yards) in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, Hyunkyung Park shot a 6-under-par 66 in the final third round of the KLPGA Tour E1 Charity Open (total prize money: 1 billion won), completing a come-from-behind victory by one stroke with a total score of 16-under-par 200. This marks her eighth career win, coming one year after her last victory at the McCall Mona Yongpyong Open in June of the previous year. She earned a winner’s prize of 180 million won.

Throughout all three rounds of this tournament, Hyunkyung Park achieved a flawless victory without recording a single bogey. This is only the 12th “no-bogey win” in KLPGA Tour history. Starting from second place, one stroke behind the leader, she collected one eagle and four birdies. She maintained a share of the lead with Chaeun Lee 2 after a birdie on the 17th hole (par 4), and then secured the win by making par on the final 18th hole (par 5), pulling ahead as Chaeun Lee 2 made a bogey.


Chaeun Lee 2, who was the leader the previous day, fought hard and reduced her score by four strokes, but had to settle for runner-up by one stroke (15-under-par 201). Minseon Kim 7 finished third (11-under-par 205), while Kyul Park, Heejung Lim, Dongun Lee, Jooyoung Park, and Yerim Choi shared fourth place (10-under-par 206). Last year’s champion Sohyun Bae finished tied for ninth (9-under-par 207), and the 2023 champion Shinsil Bang ended tied for 17th (7-under-par 209). Yewon Lee, who was aiming for her third consecutive tournament win, missed the cut.
