Pyeongtaek Port Authority Holds 'Marine Accident Prevention Safety Campaign' at Jebu Marina on May 23

On May 23, Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority conducted a Safe Navigation and Marine Accident Prevention Campaign at Jebu Marina.

This campaign was organized in cooperation with Pyeongtaek Maritime Police Station, Korea Maritime Transportation Safety Authority (KOMSA), and professional repair companies to prevent safety accidents.

On this day, Pyeongtaek Port Authority provided free inspections of key components of powered water leisure equipment, including outboard engines, cooling systems, and batteries. In addition, training on basic maintenance techniques and a campaign to promote a culture of water leisure safety were also conducted.

The inspections targeted owners of leisure vessels with outboard or inboard engine systems and were conducted from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the same day.

Kim Seokgu, President of Pyeongtaek Port Authority, stated, "We will spare no effort in providing thorough pre-facility safety inspections and safety education so that boats and yachts using Jebu Marina this year can operate safely without accidents," and urged, "Please pay close attention to the prevention of safety accidents."

Pyeongtaek Port Authority regularly conducts Safe Navigation and Marine Accident Prevention Campaigns in cooperation with Pyeongtaek Maritime Police Station.

In addition, Jebu Marina recently carried out extension work on the lower part of the boat ramp, which has not only improved the safety of ramp usage but also extended the available hours, greatly increasing convenience for users.
