Melodies of Filial Piety Resound... Mayor Park Kangsu Attends "Haengbokhasehyo(Hyo)" Concert in Mapo-gu

Mapo-gu (District Mayor Park Kangsu) held the "Haengbokhasehyo(Hyo)" Concert at the Art Hall Mac of Mapo Art Center on the afternoon of May 23, in celebration of the 53rd Parents' Day, inviting local seniors as guests.

Jointly hosted and organized by Mapo-gu and the Mapo Welfare Foundation, the event was attended by approximately 1,000 seniors and was held on a grand scale, consisting of a first part with preliminary events and a second part as the main event.

The first part of the event began with entertainer volunteer Yoon Jaeun as the host. It featured a video presentation on "Prevention of Geriatric Diseases" to promote healthy living among seniors, followed by a singing contest in which the seniors themselves participated. The seniors who took the stage gave passionate performances, and the audience responded with applause and cheers.

The second part of the event was hosted by broadcaster Cho Younggu, and featured popular singers such as Jin Sung, Jin Miryung, Kim Sunghwan, and Namgung Okbun, who delivered a series of celebratory performances. The singers moved around the stage, making eye contact and holding hands with the seniors, conveying their heartfelt respect and affection through warm interactions.

Park Kangsu, Mayor of Mapo-gu, stated, "The name of this concert is Haengbokhasehyo(Hyo), and I hope that days as happy as today will continue in the future." He added, "With the sincere sentiment that 'everyone is both a parent and a child,' Mapo-gu will continue to practice social filial piety and always stand by our seniors as a source of support."
