Customized Employment Support Services Provided for Local Veterans
The Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office (Director Namil Lee) Veterans Support Center held an employment workshop for veterans in the Jeju region on May 23 in the small conference room on the third floor of the Jeju Government Complex.
This workshop, directly organized by the Busan Veterans Support Center to strengthen the employment capabilities of veterans residing in Jeju, was a 'Visiting Employment Workshop' attended by 11 veterans.
The workshop included guidance on job searching using Vnet, a resume and cover letter clinic, and a lecture on employment support using smartphones. In particular, a local expert instructor was invited to present smart job search strategies that can be practically applied in daily life, which received a positive response from participants.
One veteran who participated in the workshop said, "I am grateful that you came all the way to Jeju to provide employment support. Phone consultations are good, but having face-to-face counseling like this makes communication much easier, so I am very satisfied."
Currently, the Veterans Support Center operates in 10 locations nationwide, providing a variety of employment and entrepreneurship support services for veterans who have served for five years or more in mid- to long-term positions. These services include one-on-one career counseling, job information, support for career transition allowances, and training expenses.
An official from the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office stated, "We plan to continue operating field-oriented programs to expand employment opportunities for local veterans," adding, "Companies wishing to hire veterans can contact the Veterans Support Center to receive candidate recommendations."
