On this day, after visiting the grave of former President Roh Moo Hyun in the morning, Lee had lunch with Mrs. Kwon Yang Sook. Former President Moon and his wife were also present at the meeting.

According to Lee, former President Moon said, "We are currently at a truly critical juncture that will determine the fate of the Republic of Korea," and added, "We must build a proper country where the will of the people is respected. Please carry a strong sense of responsibility."

The attendees reportedly remarked, "Over the past three years, many systems in the Republic of Korea have collapsed and the emotional divide among the people has deepened. Hatred and hostility have grown, and overcoming and uniting these divisions is the greatest challenge." They also stated, "The abuse of prosecutorial power has played a significant role in the process of fueling hostility."

They further noted, "There have been cases of the prosecution splitting indictments, conducting excessive investigations, and even searching the acquaintances of acquaintances, as well as investigating other clients of defense attorneys or thoroughly probing suspects' real estate transactions. These are examples of the abuse of investigative authority." They added, "There have been cases where indictments were used to publicly shame individuals and cases perceived as political retaliation."

Cho Seung Rae, chief spokesperson for the Democratic Party's election committee, stated, "Since it is not appropriate to disclose every conversation that took place in the presence of a former president, I am conveying the conversations from the luncheon with my own interpretations."
