246 Students from 9 Jeonnam Schools Compete Fiercely at Young Farmers Student Festival

The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on May 22 that the 54th Jeonnam Young Farmers Student Festival was held at Jeonnam Life Science High School on May 21.

This event, hosted by the Provincial Office of Education and organized by the Jeonnam branch of the Korea Agricultural Education Association, was held under the theme "The Power to Overcome the Climate Crisis, Agriculture that Protects the Bioindustry." It aimed to strengthen the practical skills of agricultural high school students and foster talent to lead the future agro-bio industry.

This festival brought together 246 students from nine agricultural high schools in the Jeonnam region, who competed fiercely in a total of 20 categories, including six major competitions, six practical skill competitions, five project completion presentations, global leadership, the FFK Golden Bell, and an arts festival.

A total of 71 students who achieved outstanding results are scheduled to represent Jeonnam at the 2025 FFK Chungbuk Competition, to be held in the Chungbuk area from September 16 to 18.

Superintendent Kim Daejung stated, "Even in the midst of the climate crisis, agriculture remains an important bioindustry," and added, "We will provide full support so that students can grow into future leaders of agriculture based on the knowledge and skills they have learned at school."

Meanwhile, the Jeonnam Young Farmers Student Festival continues to be held annually as a specialized event for agricultural education, presenting the direction of agricultural education and cultivating leadership, cooperation, and scientific and technological capabilities.
