Hampyeong County in Jeonnam announced on May 22 that it has conducted disaster recovery training to minimize administrative work gaps in the event of disasters and accidents.
The "2025 Common Platform Disaster Recovery System On-site Simulation Training," held on May 21 at the IT training center, was carried out under the scenario that the county office's functions are paralyzed due to a disaster or accident. In this scenario, system administrators gather at the IT training center, which serves as an alternative worksite, to restart the systems and resume operations within the recovery time objective (RTO).
Participants enhanced their disaster response capabilities by operating the disaster recovery system, practicing checks for each task, and receiving theoretical training on the structure of the disaster recovery system and the Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
County Governor Lee Sangik stated, "Through hands-on, field-oriented simulation training, we have been able to further strengthen our system administrators' disaster response capabilities," adding, "We will continue to establish an uninterrupted service environment even in the face of disasters through regular training and education."
