Hanwha Ocean (CEO Kim Heecheol) is launching its first busking program, "Ocean Harmony," to establish a vibrant performance culture in Geoje, Gyeongsangnam-do.

The aim is to revitalize the local economy through cultural performances and to foster mutual growth between the company and the community.

Ocean Harmony is a small-scale busking music and cultural performance held at the outdoor waterfront park behind Hanwha Ocean’s Ocean Plaza in Okpo-dong, Geoje. With Hanwha Ocean’s shipyard by the sea as its backdrop, the program will feature performances in a variety of genres.

The name "Ocean Harmony" carries a double meaning, combining the musical element of harmony with the idea of harmony (unity) between the ocean and the local community.

The performances will take place on the fourth or fifth Saturday of each month starting in May. A total of seven performances are scheduled through November, offering a diverse lineup of seasonal and themed acts, including acoustic folk songs, acoustic bands, and jazz performances.

The first performance in May will be held on May 31, with side events beginning at 5:00 p.m. and the main performance starting at 6:30 p.m. The May 31 event will feature renowned vocalist K.Will and talented singer-songwriter Navi, who will help kick off the program.

The venue will include a Hanwha Ocean photo wall, a photo kiosk for SNS sharing, a random draw, and digital tattoos featuring Hanwha Ocean’s main products.

Additionally, Hanwha Ocean has prepared local Geoje specialties and Geoje Love Gift Certificates as gifts for citizens. The busking-style performances are open to everyone for free participation.

This performance program goes beyond simple cultural planning, aiming to invigorate local businesses in Geoje and attract more tourists. In addition to Ocean Harmony, Hanwha Ocean is also identifying and promoting leading regional coexistence models as part of its commitment to social responsibility.
