Sun Moon University Signs Mutual Development Agreement with Asan City

Cooperation on Local Food, Youth Support, and Multicultural Integration

On May 21, Sun Moon University announced that it had signed a practical cooperation agreement for mutual development with Asan City, Chungnam Province.

Under the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in the following areas: promoting and encouraging the consumption of local food; promoting the city as a tourist destination; supporting the social advancement of youth and young adults; supporting the employment and settlement of international students; supporting the settlement of multicultural families and foreign residents; and advancing the development of the city as a premium destination.

President Moon Sungje said, "Our university has more than 2,700 international students from 56 countries, and they serve as ambassadors who enhance Asan's international image," adding, "I expect this agreement to become a model that can bring about real change in the local community."

Mayor Oh Sehyun emphasized, "To solve various local issues, the expertise of the university and the administrative capabilities of the city must come together," and added, "I hope this will become an exemplary case of effective cooperation."

Meanwhile, after the signing ceremony, the participants moved to the site of the '2025 Sun Moon University Local Community Harmony Glocal Festival,' where they took part in cultural experiences for international students and local tourism promotion booths.
