Regarding the first presidential candidate debate, he commented, "Candidate Lee Jaemyung's debate performance was very weak and he was completely unprepared," while "Candidate Kim Moonsoo was too reserved." Regarding the recent controversy over Lee Jaemyung's comments about hotel economics and the cost of coffee at 120 won, Representative Yoo said, "It does not align with basic economic theory," and added, "He could simply admit it was a mistake, but he cannot do that." He criticized, "If candidate Lee Jaemyung just said, 'I was mistaken,' or 'I was trying to explain with good intentions, and if there was any misunderstanding that the cost of coffee is really 120 won or that there is profiteering, I will correct that misunderstanding,' that would be enough.
