Dobong-gu's 'Toy Delivery to Home' Service Gains Popularity

Expansion of Contactless Toy Delivery Service... Toys Delivered and Collected at Your Doorstep with a Single Click
Over 2,400 Toys Available at Two Locations, Including 'Toy Nurimteo'

Dobong-gu's 'Toy Delivery to Home' Service Gains Popularity

The toy rental service 'Do·To·Ri' (Dobong-gu Toy Delivery), operated by Dobong-gu in Seoul (District Mayor Oh Unseok), is receiving a highly positive response from local residents.

This program is designed for families who have difficulty visiting the Dobong-gu Toy Library in person, with the district office delivering toys directly to their homes.

The process is simple. Users select the desired toys and specify the preferred delivery date on the Dobong-gu Childcare Support Center website, and the toys are delivered to their doorstep. When the rental period ends, users simply leave the toys outside their door for collection.

Resident A, who frequently uses this service, said, "Toys become useless as children grow, and they are quite expensive. I really appreciate being able to rent them like this. Above all, I love the convenience of having toys delivered to my home with just a click."

The service is available to center members who meet certain criteria. Eligible users include Dobong-gu residents who are: pregnant women with young children, families with children under 24 months, families with two or more children under 36 months, families with three or more preschool-aged children, and families with a member who has a disability.

It is also possible to visit the toy library in person to view and borrow toys directly. The district currently operates two toy libraries in the area: 'Toy Nurimteo' (4th floor, 28 Banghak-ro 12-gil, Dobong-gu) in the Banghak area, and 'Toy Nanumi' (2nd floor, 24-5 Ui-cheon-ro 4-gil, Dobong-gu) in the Chang-dong area.

Together, the two locations house approximately 2,400 toys. Any Seoul citizen with young children can use the service by registering as a member on the Dobong-gu Childcare Support Center website and then visiting the center. Up to two toys can be borrowed at a time for a rental period of 14 days. The annual membership fee is 10,000 won.

Satisfaction with the toy library service is very high. According to a user satisfaction survey, 82.2% of respondents were satisfied with the variety of toys available for rent, 82.2% were satisfied with the condition of the toys, and 82.2% gave positive feedback on the rental process.

The district explained that the success was largely due to the expanded contactless delivery system and the revamped reservation system implemented last year.

Oh Unseok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, stated, "Toy rental provides children with the joy of new play experiences and offers parents both cost savings and convenience. We will continue to do our utmost to make Dobong a great place for raising children by expanding related programs."
