Jangsu County in North Jeolla Province has joined hands with the Jangsu Police Station to provide and promote forest healing services for police officers.
According to the county on May 21, this agreement was initiated to offer forest healing services, including the "Jangsu Healing Forest" program operated by Jangsu County, in order to enhance the mental and physical health of police officers.

The signing ceremony was attended by County Governor Choi Hunsik, Jangsu Police Chief Hwang Jaehyun, and five officials from both organizations. It served as a meaningful occasion to share future cooperation plans and reaffirm their commitment to mutual collaboration.
The main points of the agreement include: ▲ the development and operation of forest healing programs for police officers; ▲ joint research and promotion of the health benefits of forest healing; and ▲ human and material exchanges between the two organizations for public safety.
County Governor Choi Hunsik stated, "Police officers often experience post-traumatic stress disorder due to the nature of their work, which involves protecting the safety and lives of citizens, so active stress management is necessary." He added, "Through this agreement, we will provide practical and effective forest healing services to police officers."
Meanwhile, the "Healing Forest" established within Waryong Natural Recreation Forest was selected last month as a "Jeonbuk-type Wellness Tourism Destination." In particular, it has received a differentiated evaluation for operating customized forest healing programs that address social issues such as declining birth rates and increasing infertility.
