Korean Air and Asiana Airlines employees strengthened their solidarity by participating in tree planting activities in Mongolia.

The two companies announced on the 21st that a total of approximately 260 employees, including new hires, will carry out afforestation activities in two phases over two weeks starting from the 19th at the "Korean Air Forest" located in Baganuur District, Ulaanbaatar City, Mongolia.
Employees from both companies are participating together in all activities, and for their flights, Korean Air employees are flying on Asiana Airlines flights, while Asiana Airlines employees are flying on Korean Air flights. The companies explained that this arrangement was made to help employees who will soon become one family to better understand and cooperate with each other.
The tree planting began with the planting of two pine trees to wish for the growth and prosperity of both companies. Employees participated in planting trees and supporting their growth. In addition, they divided into teams to plant saplings in the fields and carried out pruning activities to remove unnecessary branches.
Korean Air also contributed to improving the local educational environment in Mongolia. In celebration of Mongolian Children's Day (June 1), a new children's playground was installed inside the Korean Air Forest. Employees from both companies helped by inspecting the playground for safety, repainting it, and assisting with finishing work.
They also engaged in volunteer activities to support the local community using their talents. Employees visited Mongol Gungalutai National School and Bolovsrol National School near Baganuur District, where they opened Korean language, English, and aeronautical engineering classes, providing hands-on lessons for local students.
A Korean Air representative said, "For the past 21 years, Korean Air has continuously carried out afforestation activities in Mongolia to help prevent desertification. As a global airline, we will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibility and engage in various social contribution activities to extend a helping hand wherever it is needed."
