This market development team was dispatched for five days and four nights from May 12 to May 16, in cooperation with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok. Hanam-based companies that passed the local market potential assessment sought export opportunities through customized one-on-one consultations with buyers.

A total of 133 consultations were conducted at the export meetings, with 78 in Ho Chi Minh City (worth 21.76 million USD) and 55 in Bangkok (worth 5.09 million USD). There was strong local demand for Korean products, particularly in the K-beauty and daily consumer goods sectors, which led to tangible results.

Individual achievements by each company also stood out.

CS Global Cosmetic signed an export memorandum of understanding (MOU) worth 50,000 USD with a local company in Ho Chi Minh City, while Ecohophia Co., Ltd. proposed technology transfer for microorganism-based fertilizers?products currently prohibited for import?in Bangkok, confirming the potential for future technological cooperation.

This initiative was carried out based on systematic pre- and post-support, including KOTRA’s thorough market research, buyer matching, interpretation support, and preliminary meetings.

Hanam City evaluated the activity as highly significant, not only for its short-term achievements but also for laying the foundation for long-term contracts and future entry into overseas markets.

Mayor Lee Hyunjae stated, "It is very meaningful that Hanam-based companies achieved tangible export results through the dispatch of this market development team," adding, "We will continue to actively support local companies in expanding overseas, thereby promoting export growth and revitalizing the regional economy."
