Nongshim Pioneers Global Market for K-Ramyun
Nongshim is actively pioneering the global market for K-ramyun. By leveraging its flagship product, Shin Ramyun, the company is expanding its presence overseas through marketing strategies that allow its products to blend naturally into the daily lives of people around the world, as well as by establishing overseas subsidiaries to cater to local tastes.
Nongshim is particularly focused on raising awareness of Shin Ramyun in major cities abroad. Starting this month, the company has been advertising Shin Ramyun on the water buses of Venice, Italy, one of Europe's top tourist destinations. These water buses, which travel along the Grand Canal, are a primary means of transportation for both locals and tourists, providing a channel for the brand to be naturally exposed to both Italian residents and visitors alike.
In March, Nongshim established its European subsidiary, "Nongshim Europe," in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This move is part of a strategy to organize its operations and secure logistics hubs for targeting the European market. Beginning with the establishment of the European subsidiary, Nongshim has been strengthening its sales activities in major European countries such as France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, and is also developing products tailored to local food cultures.
Last month, Nongshim opened and began operating the first "Shin Ramyun Bunsik" location in Aguas Calientes, a tourist city near Machu Picchu, Peru's most famous tourist attraction. The three-story venue features an experience space on the first floor where visitors can cook and taste ramyun themselves, while the upper floors serve as exhibition spaces introducing the history of Shin Ramyun and key Nongshim products that have grown into global brands. Nongshim plans to continue promoting Shin Ramyun at major tourist destinations around the world, such as Machu Picchu.
